CiCi's Pizza offers Lunch & Learn Field Trips for school groups. This is a hands-on workshop at CiCi's designed by teachers to help kids develop basic math skills. Students use pizza ingredients and other related items to solve problems, and in the process make and enjoy their very own pizza! They offer beginner, intermediate and advanced math level curricula.
Homeschooling Littles in Colorado
This group is for people planning to or homeschooling their littles and older. Their goal is to grow together as a group forming friendships and camaraderie along the way. Almost all events planned are geared towards preschool to elementary aged kids. However, this doesn't bar you from bringing your older children. They are welcome to join in all the events.
Colorado Homeschool Field Trips and General Outings
This is an all inclusive group for homeschoolers of all ages to organize outings. We all homeschool for different reasons. We may be part of other various groups/co-ops. Since we often travel for trips to places like the zoo, and some of us may be from more rural areas, this is a chance to make friends, network, and take advantage of group discounts.
Uinta County Museum
The Uinta County Museum is located in the historic Carnegie building, completed in 1906. A lovely example of Classical Revival architecture, the building was designed by New York architect Albert Randolph Ross (who also designed a Carnegie Library in Washington, D.C.). In 2008, an expansion of the building was completed. Designed by Jackson architect Kurt Dubbe, the new building echoes the historic features of the original structure. Their mission is to collect, preserve, and interpret the history of Uinta County and the surrounding region, and to make our collections available to the public.

Aviat Aircraft
Aviat Aircraft Inc. is located in Afton, Wyoming. Aviat is engaged in the development, manufacture and servicing of sport and utility aircraft sold under the trade names of Husky A-1A and A-1B, the Pitts Special S-2C, and the Eagle II. The facility, situated two blocks south of the city center, consists primarily of six light manufacturing buildings containing approximately 72,000 square feet of enclosed space on about five acres of land in a 47 acre parcel. The company offers free tours to the public.
Laramie River Station
The Laramie River Station, located east of Wheatland, WY, is one of the largest consumer-operated, regional, joint power supply ventures in the United States. The Missouri Basin Power Project (MBPP), a group of six electric utilities, owns the plant and adjacent facilities. Laramie River Station has three coal-based units, each with 550 megawatts of capacity. Units 1, 2 and 3 began operating in 1980, 1981 and 1982, respectively.
The electricity produced at Laramie River is sent to substations in Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado, where it is then delivered to MBPP Participants. Laramie River is unique because it delivers electricity to two separate electrical transmission grids. Unit 1 is connected to the eastern grid, while units 2 and 3 are connected to the western grid. These grids, which divide the United States into two sections, were developed independently and must be served separately.
